    Does TCM help with serious chronic conditions like cancer, stroke recovery etc?

    TCM can effectively support patients with serious chronic conditions such as cancer, eczema, stroke recovery, autoimmune conditions, metabolic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, etc) and more.

    Many chronic sufferers come for TCM to support their recovery with western treatments as TCM can help relieve side effects and enhance the effectiveness of such conventional treatment. For example patients undergoing chemotherapy/radiotherapy can use TCM to strengthen their immunity, reduce pain, improve appetite and relieve heat symptoms such as hot flashes.

    How long does it take to see results?

    The treatment duration required depends on type, severity and recency of condition. It also depends on one’s sensitivity and compliance to treatment. Chronic conditions may require up to 3-6months before improvement can be observed. What is key is that TCM treatments improve your general constitution and treat the problem at its roots, putting you in a better health state for the long term.

    Are there any risks associated with the treatments?

    Side effects from herbal medications are rare and minimal, especially under the advice of MOH-licensed TCM practitioners.

    For acupuncture, you can expect a slight prickling sensation when the acupuncture needles are administered. At sensitive spots, minimal bleeding and/or dizziness might occur upon the removal of acupuncture needles. However, these effects are typically short lasting.
